A volunteer co-operative facilitating donations directly to people in need, enhancing community partnerships and reducing waste.

Come have dinner at California Pizza Kitchen at the Annapolis Mall May 21st - May 24th, present this flyer and 20% of your tab will go to We Care and Friends! What a great opportunity to have a delicious meal, hang out with friends and/or family, and do good! (www.wecareandfriends.org)

Did you know that spending $100 at a chain store keeps $13 in your community, but spending $100 at a locally owned store keeps $45 in your community? Shop local at some GNG supporters: Curve Appeal, Victoria's Fancy Foods, BJ's Blings and Things, Franklin Toys, Cha Ching Consignments,  Honeysuckle Quality Consignments, The Red Balloon, Celebrate Recovery, Replay Consignments (formerly Serendipity), and Savvy Consignments.

*GNG collects the following health-related items for the village of San Jose de las Lagrimas in Honduras - a village on the Guatemalan border that Project School Supplies has become aware of. They currently have no water supply and a recent outbreak of TB.  Through amazing efforts, PSS has been able to negotiate with the mayor of the municipality to help pay for the water supply. Good Neighbors is helping by collecting the following for the village: band aids, ACE bandages, anti-fungal medicine, children's vitamins, anti-parasitic medicines, anti-diarrheal medicine (like Immodium), neosporin/hydrocortizone/antibiotic creams or first aid creams, children's pain meds. No liquids, please.

*GNG always collects plastic plates, bowls and cups, small sizes of sandals and flip flops (new and nearly new), backpacks and string backpacks, and children's vitamins for children in Honduras through Project School Supplies.

*Birthday In a Box - the brainchild of a Good Neighbor who is putting together everything a family  would need to host a small birthday party for a child: decorations, decorative plates, table clothes, balloons, cake mix and frosting, hats, etc. If you would like more specifics and to prepare one, please let us know.  Do you have leftover items from your child's or childlike family member's party? Drop them by!

*HOPE for All has an ongoing need for lamps, dressers, beds, metal bed frames, kitchen tables, love seats, linens, dishes and cookware, cleaning supplies and new underwear and socks for men, women and children.

If you have something to offer, and you don't see it listed here, just ask. GNG can find a home for ANYTHING!
