Good Neighbors Group was formed in 2006 by three women from Severna Park, MD who saw that there was both need and abundance in the area.
Many people feel trapped by their possessions and are delighted to know another person or family can use them. Often people are unfamiliar with the variety of organizations in the local area providing directly to people in need. GNG bridges this gap by steering donors to individuals or organizations with specific needs. In many cases, donations are tax deductible.
GNG researches charitable organizations and connects with service providers to both meet the needs of organizations and families.
Money for GNG projects is generated through sale of clothing and other items at local consignment shops and through generous donations of people who believe in its mission and work.
